As a student at Hibernia College you will interact with three main forms of content on a weekly basis. The samples below are taken from iTeach, the online initial teacher education programme run by Hibernia College and Canterbury Christ Church University.

On Demand Content
This fully interactive content represents the main lecture material and can be studied online, downloaded for viewing offline or downloaded as a podcast.
It can consist of text, audio, diagrams, animations and video.

Live Virtual Classes
Each on demand lesson will be accompanied by a scheduled live class where students and the tutor can interact as if in a normal classroom.
In the virtual classroom the tutor is able to pull up material on a whiteboard and facilitate discussions on this material. All students can communicate (by voice and text) either with the group or privately with the tutor.

Learner Communities
You will be asked to reflect on each week's material either in the course discussion forum or through a personal learning diary. Fellow students will comment on your experience and post their own comments. You can also build groups of friends and send private messages to fellow students. You can even keep track of their birthdays!

In addition, each lesson will point you to a dedicated set of library resources and external websites, all of which are available at the click of a button. Hibernia College has extensive online libraries from which you will be able to access an enormous array on online peer reviewed journal articles, fully online e-books, newspaper articles and other resources.
