New CIMA accredited online Master's announced
Hibernia College has collaborated with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) to launch a new online Master of Science degree in Financial Management and Control. This new postgraduate programme is unique in that it offers exemptions from CIMA’s strategic level examinations for students who have previously achieved CIMA Advanced Diploma status. This is the only third level programme in the world to offer this level of exemption. The degreeis also HETAC accredited and offers credits towards Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications. The first class will commence in February 2009 and graduate in 2011. For more details click here.

Hibernia College on TV
Hibernia College president, Dr. Seán Rowland, is to be profiled in a TV programme airing on Thursday, October 2nd at 10.45pm on RTÉ1. The programme is part of a series featuring the finalists of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition. Dr. Rowland has been shortlisted in the "Emerging" category for his work in establishing and developing Hibernia College.

Hibernia College shortlisted for international e-learning award
Hibernia College's M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Medicine has been shortlisted for the e-Learning Age Awards 2008 in the "Best online or distance learning project" category. The awards are presented by e-Learning Age Magazine, the UK's leading publication for online and blended learning.
Now in its fourth year, the e-Learning Age Awards are widely recognised as the highest accolade in the industry. The primary objective of the awards is to recognise real excellence in the e-learning industry - the programmes, projects and strategies which have enjoyed the greatest success each year. Entries are received from all over the world and previous winners include BMW, Marton House, NCALT, Prudential, Computeach and e-LfH.
The awards are judged by an independent panel of judges drawn from a pool of industry experts and the final takes place in London on November 6th.

Hibernia College case study on Towards Maturity website
A case study of Hibernia College's M.Sc in Pharmaceutical Medicine is currently featured on the "Towards Maturity" website. Towards Maturity is a UK community interest company that aims to provide research and resources to support a wide communitiy of organisations and individuals interested in improving the impact of learning technologies at work by identifying and sharing effective practice. Hibernia College receives CPD Scotland approval
Hibernia College has recently been recognised by CPD Scotland as an approved provider of CPD education and training. CPD Scotland is a SEED (Scottish Executive Education Department) sponsored project being delivered jointly by the National CPD Team and Learning and Teaching Scotland. As well as providing a range of CPD opportunities, it aims to take advantage of various online tools and the current uptake in social software for the collaboration and sharing of ideas, professional thinking and practice. Careers
Due to Hibernia College's continued expansion (including acquiring additional offices in numbers 3 and 4 Clare Street), there are now a number of full and part-time employment opportunities. For our iTeach students, the University of Wisconsin provides an extensive list of maths resources here.
For our Pharmaceutical Medicine Students, the National Centre for Biotechnology Information provides a useful database with good links to free online books and journals (with an emphasis on molecular biology) here.
